Introduction:
Electronic waste, commonly known as e-waste, refers to electronic products that have become unwanted, non-functional, or obsolete, reaching the end of their useful life. According to the E-waste Rule 2016, e-waste encompasses electrical and electronic equipment, either in full or part, that is discarded as waste by consumers or bulk consumers, as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment, and repair processes. E-waste contains valuable materials like aluminum, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and ferrous metals that can be recovered. To conserve natural resources and the energy required for producing new electronic equipment from raw materials, recycling, refurbishing, and reusing electronic equipment is recommended over landfill disposal.
E-waste also contains toxic and hazardous substances, including mercury, lead, cadmium, beryllium, chromium, and chemical flame retardants, which can potentially contaminate soil and water.
E-Waste Recycling:
Our company has partnered with Hulladek Recycling Pvt. Ltd., an authorized Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), for the safe disposal of E-Waste collected nationwide. Under this agreement, Hulladek Recycling Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for collecting all generated e-waste from across India and ensuring its proper disposal. Our PRO collaborates with Om Logistics Ltd. for logistics services, facilitating the collection and proper channelization of e-waste across the country. The collection centers are listed below. The collected material is sent to our PRO's approved recyclers/dismantlers, including Eco-E Waste Recyclers India Pvt. Ltd., Eco Birdd Recycling Company Pvt. Ltd., Sani Clean Pvt. Ltd., Green Era Recyclers & Techeco E-Waste Namo LLP, with a combined annual processing capacity of 2400 MT for recycling and dismantling. Customers can contact our office, call, or email us to learn about the disposal process and find the nearest drop-off point for e-waste. For those who prefer doorstep collection, our logistics team can pick up the items and ensure their proper processing at our e-waste partner plant.
